What is #Capture Geo Solar
- #GetGeoSolar is a nationwide initiative led by Geo Solar in collaboration with companies, private groups, institutions and media outlets to start the conversation about solar energy for India as a nation while passionately engaging people. age groups, professions and lifestyles.
- Although we have managed to harness the incredible power of the sun and solar energy by creating technologies that have led to the creation of more efficient solar panels and more, photographers still struggle to photograph the sun or any object in front of the sun. .
- Therefore, #Capture Geo Solar is an invitation to both professional and non-professional photographers to join the program and capture the sun in all its power, beauty and magnificence.
- The program will cover different cities of India every day, starting from Mumbai. The jury will be announced before the start of the competition and will consist of prominent people from renewable energy, environmental protection, media houses, photography and other fields who will receive these clothes.
- After Mumbai, where #CaptureGeoSolar collaborated with Mumbai Instagrammers (mumbai_igers) for a photoshoot, the program moves to another city and then to another. We plan to visit 20+ cities in a short span of 6 months, capturing every place that showcases the great beauty and power of the sun.
- Mumbai’s top export cities are Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The tour was held in Bengaluru on 4 February 2017 at Sanket Tank from 3 PM onwards and in Hyderabad on 5 February 2017 from 3 PM onwards at Qutb Shahi Tank.
- After Bengaluru and Hyderabad, we are coming to Gujarat with a photography tour to Ahmedabad on 26 February 2017 at Sabarmati River Market starting from 16:00.
- As a token of appreciation, the top two entries from the state of Gujarat will receive Rs 4,000 along with Amazon vouchers.
- We want to ensure that #CaptureGeoSolar reaches every part of the country, so this time we invite you to share photos not just from Ahmedabad but from anywhere in the state of Gujarat. So if you are from Gujarat and cannot walk with us, you can share your photos and be eligible to win prizes.
- At the end of the program, all city winners and their efforts will be brought together to choose a national winner named ‘Starrrrr Photographer’ who will win the grand prize.
What can you Shoot and how do you participate?
- When you join the #CaptureGeoSolar program, you have the freedom to photograph the sun from any direction you want, in any situation you want, however you want. We’re not interested in taking photos of people harnessing the power of the sun to create magnificence on the sand. In fact, everything related to the sun is allowed.
- If you will be joining us on a trip to the city in question or cannot make the photo trip, you can geotag a photo of the city we were in at the time of the news and publish it. # Post it to Instagram with the hashtag #Capture GeoSolar.
- Please don’t restrict yourself to clicking pictures with sun in the frame, feel good and photograph everything under the sun depending on the sun.
- We invite everyone, gamers, pros, professionals and fun photographers to capture this great event. So, whether you’re clicking with an expensive DSLR, an iPhone, or even a feature phone, you’re cordially invited. Until we seek, understand, see and appreciate the power of the sun, we will not use it. And the use of renewable energy is the message of our day.

- Ideally, you’ll include a geolocation when you upload images so we can check submissions in the area we’re working on.
- Share this page with your friends and family members and encourage them to join you.
- Only entries received within 2 weeks from the start of the contest, i.e. before 23:59 IST on Monday, 20 March 2017, will be eligible for participation and prize distribution.
